The Charm is Recess’s 2018 competition bimetal, distinguished from the Weekend and Vacation by using inner-fitted stainless steel rings rather than outer rim placement. The broad inner rings provide precise weight distribution that creates a light feel on the string with a seriously powerful spin — capable of carrying through any competitive routine effortlessly. At 55.10mm diameter and 46.70mm wide, it is noticeably wider than the Weekend and Vacation, giving it a modern, generous catch zone. The “lucky charm” naming follows Recess’s fun theme. Tyler Severance announced it in a Recess blog post on February 12, 2018 with the note: “Charm is the perfect yo-yo for all situations.”
