The Hypernova is the reissue of Tyler Severance’s legendary pro model — originally developed through three generations at YoYoFactory before Recess brought it home. It combines elements of H, W, V, and Organic shape profiles with even weight distribution, resulting in a yo-yo that works for nearly every style of play. It won 3 US National Titles in Tyler’s hands, multiple worldwide international titles, and multiple top-3 placements at the World Yo-Yo Contest — while simultaneously becoming a favorite of trick innovators and content creators because of its versatility. Tyler described it as one of the first throws capable of genuinely competing in 1A, 3A, and 5A without compromise. The aluminum Hypernova and its machined polycarbonate version (PC Hypernova) are both offered by Recess.
