History / About
According to Fair Trade YoYos (via YoYoExpert), the FTY 138 is an homage to the team’s punk rock upbringing and DIY ethos. The Misfits’ “We Are 138” inspired the 51 x 38 mm dimensions and the name. The round shape was inspired by rounded steel roller skates, Misfits horror punk, and the oxy ti. The profile gap keeps a slight “schwall” as in earlier models, though less pronounced, with large rims rounded into the cup that provide ample rim weight. Designed in the USA, made in China.
