History / About
The Empress Satellite is a reproduction of the Duncan Satellite from the Japanese maker Empress, with the word “Japan” stamped on the rim in black ink. The YoYo Wiki dates it to the 1950s-1960s and notes it uses a three-piece design where the Duncan original is one piece; most examples have halves of unequal size, though the colors are vivid and the logo is imprinted more legibly than on the Duncan models. The Yo-Yo Museum dates its cream, green and red example to 1962 and values it at $125.
