History
Dell Plastics Co. of Brooklyn, New York, known for plastic toy soldiers and flowers, entered the yo-yo market in the early 1960s with the Big D line, packaged in blister cards with a 1961 copyright. Per YoYo Wiki, Dell and Royal were sued by Duncan over the word yo-yo, which appeared on Dell’s packaging but not on the yo-yos; Dell dropped the line rather than litigate. The Big D Fireball No. 606 is an early glow-in-the-dark yo-yo, plastic with a metal axle, in a shape virtually identical to Duncan’s Satellite.
