About the California State Yo-Yo Contest 2025

The 2025 California State Yo-Yo Contest brought competitive yo-yoing back to Downtown Chico’s City Plaza for the first time since 2019, drawing competitors across 1A, X Division (2A/4A), and two Futures youth divisions. Organized through the National YoYo League with local coordination by Nate Dailey and the National Yo-Yo Museum, the event capped off with a judges’ exhibition freestyle from world champion Gentry Stein.
