Playmaxx’s best-selling model and its first yo-yo to use the patented “Brake Pad” response system — replaceable cork-like starburst pads. Nicknamed the “Butterbee,” it used a stainless steel A-size ball bearing axle, a significant step up from the fixed-axle ProYo line. Renamed simply “Bumblebee” after Duncan Toys acquired Playmaxx in 2001.
