The AL7 Pelican uses 7068 aluminum instead of the standard 7075 because it anodizes and blasts better, at a cost of only about a gram of extra weight versus nearly two grams for straight 7075. G2 notes it “feels great, no thud, just a bit of extra spin but no extra lag.” Distribution prioritized Patreon backers before wider release via the G2 Nation Facebook community.
