About
The Phi is Kyo’s second production model, shipped May 11, 2005. Its geometry was mathematically derived from the golden ratio (φ = 1.618), and its inner concave rim was designed specifically for Inner Ring Grinds — a technique not yet mainstream at the time. The reversible spacer system, an original Kyo innovation, allowed three selectable gap widths. Stock configuration came with Paul Yath’s Carbon Fiber Friction Stickers and a large bearing. 150 units were made; 125 sold through Infinite Illusions; all individually serial numbered.
