Wolf Yoyo Works

Wolf Yoyo Works was a boutique British yo-yo brand founded in May 2017 by Jack Eastwood in Wolverhampton, England. Established to address what Eastwood saw as a lack of innovation in the yo-yo market — particularly in the UK, where only one other domestic boutique brand existed at the time — the company set out to push the boundaries of what was possible in yo-yo design.

Their debut yo-yo, the Amarok (2019), became the first yo-yo ever to feature PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene, or Teflon) fingerspin cups secured to an aluminium body. This construction combined the stability of a metal yo-yo with the ultra-low friction properties of PTFE, enabling longer and more consistent fingerspin tricks. Eastwood used 3D-printed prototypes to refine the bowl shape before committing to production, significantly reducing development costs. The Amarok was offered in six color combinations — three anodized aluminum colorways paired with either black or white PTFE cups.

Wolf Yoyo Works also experimented with a yo-yo bearing made from real rubies, though it was never released commercially. The company dissolved on 6 October 2020 with only the Amarok having reached market.
