The UnKnown is a limited-production redesign of MadHouse’s original 5150, built for the 2009 World Yo-Yo Contest. Approximately 2.5 grams heavier than its predecessor, it features laser-engraved artwork by “IV” on the side and a distinctive “Chalkboard” bead-blast finish in brown/black anodization. The UnKnown’s unconventional A-sized bearing — unusual for a full-performance throw of its era — was praised in reviews for its distinct spin feel and quick response characteristics.
