The 6061 aluminum body is paired with a polycarbonate rim that absorbs impact on catches, reducing hand strain during intensive practice sessions. JULY describes the character as combining “the flexible feel of a plastic yoyo and the rigid precision of metal.” Multiple rounds of weight distribution refinement preceded the final spec.
