The 2015 World Yo-Yo Contest was a landmark event for the sport, marking the first time the modern World Contest was held outside of Europe or the United States (initiating the IYYF’s Europe/Asia/Americas rotation). Zach Gormley secured the highly coveted 1A World Champion title in what commentators called one of the most competitive and stacked finals in yo-yo history. Shinji Saito extended his legendary record by winning the 2A title, bringing his World Championship count to an incredible 13.
