About the DV888
The DV888 is YoyoFactory’s long-running entry-level metal yo-yo and one of the most recommended beginner metal throws in the hobby. Built from 6061 aluminum with a durable anodized surface, it ships with a CBC Large Half SPEC bearing in responsive mode, meaning it returns to the hand with a tug. A separate bearing kit (sold separately) converts it to full unresponsive play. The undersized 50.1mm diameter makes it nimble and easy to handle for players transitioning from plastic. Available in Red/White Caps, Black/White Caps, Galaxy/Clear Cap, and Aqua at $24.99. The DV888 has been in near-continuous production since approximately 2009.
