The Hyper Infinity is the most unusual product in the entire Hyper Yo-Yo catalog, released in Japan on April 2, 2011: it is the only known motorized yo-yo ever sold on the mass market. An internal AAA battery-powered electric motor drives a gear box that keeps the yo-yo spinning continuously without the player needing to throw it. A plastic gear bearing connects to the motor assembly; the battery cover is removed via screwdriver for battery access. An adjustable plastic tube on the response string allows the player to tune how easily the yo-yo returns. The Hyper Infinity was marketed as a way for children to experience yo-yo play without mastering throw technique.
