About
The Hyper Viper is the original Hyper Yo-Yo off-string model, manufactured by Henrys and released by Bandai in Japan in October 1998. Produced under license from German yo-yo maker Henrys, the Viper’s defining feature is its large rubber-shelled body: the rubber absorbs impact, allowing the yo-yo to bounce off hard surfaces without damage — an essential quality for off-string (4A) play in which the yo-yo is intentionally thrown from the string. The aluminum hub houses an adjustable-gap Quicktrick system for dialing in responsiveness, and the ball bearing provides extended spin times. Compatible with Henrys Viper and Cobra replacement shells. At 65.55mm diameter it is one of the largest yo-yos in the Gen 1 lineup.
