About
The Hyper Neo is a yo-yo manufactured by Duncan and released by Bandai in Japan in March 1997 as one of five launch models of the first Hyper Yo-Yo line. It is technically a variant of the Duncan Imperial, sharing the same narrow fixed-axle looping form, but molded in bright solid neon colors rather than the translucent colors typical of the Imperial. The narrow string gap and fixed axle make it highly responsive, suited for basic looping and two-handed play. As a launch product it helped define the Hyper Yo-Yo brand identity alongside the Hyper Brain.
