The Manatee is the first signature model for Riccardo Fraolini, debuted at the Bay Area Classic on June 16, 2016. Two firsts for CLYW: the widest full-sized throw in the catalog at the time, and the first CLYW full-sized model at a budget price point (~$65 vs. the typical $115+ for metal). Also one of the first CLYW models manufactured in China rather than Canada. Step-straight shape with an extremely wide profile for a massive catch zone — Fraolini’s stated goal was consistency for “nearly impossible tricks.” Succeeded by the Minitee (2023), which shrank the diameter while expanding the width even further.
