The Gnarwhal was CLYW’s attempt to synthesize the best characteristics of the Bassalope, Bear vs. Man, and Wooly Marmot into a single undersized package. Released in 2010, it shares design DNA across those three earlier models while standing apart with its own weight distribution. Named for the narwhal. Succeeded by the Gnarwhal 2 in November 2013, which expanded both diameter and width for improved performance while retaining the undersized character.
