The Essence is General-Yo’s synthesis throw, designed to combine the rims of the Hatrick, the catch zone of the 5 Star, and the weight of the Torrent into a single cohesive design. Only 88 units were released in the original 2011 run, making it one of the most collectible General-Yo models.
The Essence was reissued in 2020 (Essence 2020) in new colorways including Red and Red/Black Half-Swap, retaining the same specs with a bead-blasted finish and string-centering bearing. The 2020 reissue retailed at approximately $69.
