About the Riddle
The Riddle is the inaugural release from Unspoken Project, designed primarily by Justin Bui and refined with the help of Noah Burrows and Alexis JV. It launched on March 17, 2017 at 5 PM PST exclusively through the Unspoken Project Big Cartel store, following a limited prototype run the previous month.
The brief was simple: a mid-sized H-shape with enough rim weight to be stable and long-spinning, but light enough at 63.5g to stay nimble. The resulting design features a scalloped catchzone and a profile that sits between competition powerhouse and everyday player. The Riddle is machined from 7068 aluminum — a higher-strength alloy than the standard 6061 — giving it improved durability and allowing for tighter tolerances on the rims.
The Riddle sold out quickly and its revenue funded the production run of Unspoken’s second release, the Paradox.
