This yoyo should be everything the Savage was but even more. And in some ways, it is. In the good ways and the bad ways. It’s still a thrasher, but it’s still fatiguing to use. But ironically… It’s slightly nerfed. This yoyo leaves performance to be desired in a couple of weirdly particular ways. Obviously, the width helps, you have more catch zone. It’s pretty impossible to miss a trick on this. But to be honest? It’s missing the X-Factor of the original Savage. I’m not sure if it’s the profile or the weight distribution, but it’s prone to blowouts. So you have a ton of catch zone, but if you bump it wrong, the yoyo flops. Absolutely gut-wrenching. I wanted to adore this yoyo, but alas, I just have a cool beater now. Also, it’s snaggy as hell. I’ve swapped pads in this, diagnosed issues; it’s just snaggy. Sucks to suck, but it is what it is. Not as solid as it could be.
Genuinely, the Wilderness 7075 is more reliable.
