Shigehiro Yamada
Shigehiro Yamada is a Japanese 5A (counterweight) specialist competing for Team Hydrangea. He broke into the national spotlight with a 5th-place finish at the 2018 Japan National Yo-Yo Contest, then won his first national title in 2019 alongside a Central Japan Yo-Yo Contest win the same year. He added a West Japan Yo-Yo Contest title in 2020, and returned to the top of the podium at the 2023 Japan National Yo-Yo Contest, the same year he placed 2nd in 5A at the World Yo-Yo Contest. He has remained a consistent World Yo-Yo Contest 5A finalist through 2025.
