About Laylay
Laylay (雷雷), known online as @lay_lay_thunder, is a Taiwanese diabolo performer and street artist. She came to the discipline not through traditional performance training but through a diabolo club she joined — and eventually led as president — while studying electronic physics and chemistry at Taipei City University. Performing gave her a way into street arts, and she has since built a career across busking, festival stages, and competitive diabolo circuits in Asia and Europe.
Her competition record spans the mid-2010s through the early 2020s, with documented results including 4th place at the 2016 MoyoStage Women All Diabolo Final and 10th place at the 2017 Asia International Diabolo Cup (AIDC), Individual Stage (Above 16, Female) division. By 2023 she was competing at the European Juggling Convention (EJC) Diabolo Battle in Lublin, Poland, advancing to at least the seventh round of the bracket, and performing at the Adelaide Juggling Convention (AJC) in Australia.
Internationally she has appeared at festivals in France (Avignon, Chalon sur Saône), Germany, Poland, Japan, China, and Malaysia. In 2023 she represented Taiwan on Indonesia's Got Talent (Season 4), reaching the quarter-finals on RCTI+. Her performance style is characterized by multi-diabolo handling, ring-integrated tricks, vertax sequences, and choreography influenced by K-pop and J-pop aesthetics.
In Taiwan she is registered as a licensed street performer through the Tainan City Street Performer Platform and offers diabolo performances, LED diabolo shows, workshops, and commercial event bookings independently under the stage identity 俏鈴美少女-雷雷 ("Pretty Diabolo Girl — Laylay").
