About Jakub Dolejš

Jakub Dolejš is a competitive yo-yo player from Prague, Czech Republic, specializing in the 1A (single string) division with additional championship-level expertise in 4A (off-string). He first appeared on the international stage at the 2021 Online World Yo-Yo Contest, placing 8th in 1A. From that point his ascent was rapid: by 2022 he had won both the 1A and 4A divisions at the European Yo-Yo Championship, held that year in his home city of Prague.

Over the following years Dolejš established himself as the dominant European competitor in 1A, winning the EYYC 1A title in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2026, and the EYYC 4A/Doublehanded title in 2022 and 2024. Domestically he has won Czech Yoyo Nationals 1A Pro in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and has taken titles at Czech Yoyo Cup regional events and the German Yoyo Nationals 1A Open. His WYYC 2024 result — 2nd place in 1A at age nineteen or twenty — marked his highest world championship finish and established him as a genuine title contender.

Dolejš is sponsored by Empathy, the Czech brand founded by Tony Šec. He has two signature models with the brand: the Noir (bi-metal, 7075 aluminum body with stainless steel rims, released August 2024) and the Noir Deux (hybrid, polycarbonate body with stainless steel rims). Both were used to win European titles. At the 2025 World Yo-Yo Contest — held in Prague — he reached the 1A final and placed 4th, missing bronze by four-tenths of a point. He went on to win the 2026 European Championship in Bratislava.
