Fakies
Fakies was a short-lived American yo-yo brand active from 2001 to approximately 2003. The company produced a single model: a precision ball-bearing yo-yo molded to resemble a skateboard wheel, sold with licensed graphics from four real skateboard companies — Birdhouse, Blind, World Industries, and Speed Demons. The line comprised 24 distinct graphic variants.
Yo-yo player Brian Cabildo (DXL Crew) assisted in developing the Fakies yo-yos from prototype to production. A Blind-branded variant is preserved in the collection of The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY (Object ID 108.3858).
