Axis YoYos

Axis YoYos was a US-based yo-yo brand founded in 2015 by James Reed and Tyler Hsieh, launching with the crowdfunded Pulsefire bimetal. The brand quickly gained attention for a novel quasi-multi-step stainless rim profile that optimized weight distribution in unconventional ways, and signed Yuki Nishisako — introduced via Yoshihiro Matsubara of Japan Looping Solutions — as their first sponsored player. After releasing four additional models (Pulsefire Ti, Mixtape, EX, and SAL-Ti), the brand went inactive around 2016–2017 following Tyler Hsieh’s departure to co-found UNPRLD.
