I knew going in that the RippleDrop was going to be light. I did not fully appreciate what that meant until I threw it hard and it sailed off the end of the string and hit me in the side of the head.
Lesson learned. A softer touch, and this thing is wonderful. There’s a kind of fun here I wasn’t expecting from something this featherlight. It’s nimble and alive on the string in a way that heavier throws just can’t replicate.
The rejects are particularly satisfying, too. Snappy and reliable.
It’s not a yo-yo you muscle. It’s one you guide. Once I figured that out, I had a great time with it. Riforgiate Design has made something genuinely enjoyable here, as long as you let it do what it wants to do.
Of course, this is just a prototype version. Changes may be made before production.
