SKF is the Swedish bearing manufacturer, founded in 1907 and headquartered in Gothenburg. The Yo-Yo Museum documents ball-bearing “ROYO” yo-yos from the mid-1980s, dated roughly 1984-86, which the YoYo Wiki calls among the first ball-bearing yo-yos. Their promotional purpose is speculative. SKF is a bearing company that made yo-yos only incidentally.
