Flambeau

Flambeau, Inc. is a plastics manufacturer that says it was founded in 1947 in Bruce, Wisconsin and moved to Baraboo in 1950. It first worked in yo-yos as a contract maker of plastic yo-yos for Duncan, and its own history says it bought Duncan in 1968. The Smithsonian instead describes Duncan being auctioned in 1966, with Flambeau buying the name, so the transaction date is contested. Duncan has been a Flambeau division since.
