Spectra Star
Spectra Star was a US company that, according to the YoYo Wiki, began in 1973 as a kite maker founded by Frank Alonso and started making yo-yos around 1982-83. Its yo-yos began with unlicensed sculpted-face “Radical Yos” lines, including the Globe “Earth Zone” and Leaping Lizard, and later included licensed designs such as Ghostbusters, Pee-wee Herman, Donald Duck and G.I. Joe. A contemporary kite trade advertisement supports its kite and yo-yo lines; the founding details and current status are unverified.
